I'm the artist for Tales of the Zero-Men. I've been drawing almost as long as I can remember. Blake and I went to elementary school together and regularly ignored class to make any comics we could think of, from super-heroes to stick figures. I went on to graduate from the Savannah College of Art & Design with a BFA in Sequential Art (read: comic books!).
I've been an avid gamer as long as I've been drawing, and got into roleplaying games around 5th grade with Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, 2nd Edition. Blake and I stayed friends through gaming. When Mutants & Masterminds came out, we were hooked. We started the Zero-Men campaign collaboratively with another elementary school friend, Jay. I played Captain Zero, and came up with a lot of the details stuff like the team name and Zero-Point Energy.
I'm a life-long New Orleanian. Since the game, I've gotten married to an extraordinary woman (and gamer!) named Allie, and we have a daughter, Debra. I work a day-job as the secretary for my church, Parkway Presbyterian. Being a dad and working two jobs cuts down on my free time, but I still manage a Star Wars: SAGA Edition game every other week. I even tinker with my own RPG designs from time to time. I've been out of paper comics for a while, but I keep up with the digital variety.
You can e-mail me at jhenson@zero-men.com about the comic, or about most anything else. TTFN.
